Welcome and Thanks for Taking the Time to Visit with Us

Wow!  Your response has been fast and furious - but not totally unexpected.  The house, the neighborhood and the creek appeal to many.  We thank all who have: visited this site, stopped by/picked up the flyer at the house, inquired by phone/e-mail, made appointments for showings or made offers on the property.  Last but not least we thank all who passed this opportunity to others they thought might be interested.

Long story short - the house went "under contract" in just over a week.

To say we'll miss our "home" is an understatement.  This has been "home" for almost 26 years.  But it's time for our next adventure.  We're hopeful our next experience will compare favorably to the great one we've had at 402 Lamp Post Lane.

Thanks to all.

"HOME"

Welcome to 402 Lamp Post Lane

Located in Hampden Township (Cumberland County) you'll find this property very convenient to all major highways and activities.

A "bird's eye view" of the property.

Before you even step inside you'll notice several features that make this home unique in the neighborhood - an example - this is not your ordinary driveway.

You might have read about or even remember the days of the front stoops where families would "hang" and interact with their neighbors as they passed by.  We've brought this concept back by adding a courtyard in the front of the house where you can sit, relax and engage neighbors as they pass by.

Ready to take a peek?  Let's step inside.

Open the front door and you're immediately drawn inside.

Now that you're inside - turn around and look back.  The entry is light and open and welcoming.

Have a special piece of art you enjoy displaying?  The gallery wall with spotlights will highlight that special piece.

The living room draws you foward.  Here you get a real glimpse of the oak hardwood floors that flow throughtout the entire upper level of the house.

I know you were curious about the view behind those window treatments.  You won't find many properties with views like this from your living room windows.

Another view of the living room to help you gain perspective of the openness and easy flow from room to room.

The dining room.  Access is convenient - from both the living room and more importantly the kitchen.

If you haven't already guessed, the dining room also has magnificent views of the creek as it flows by.

The great features of this kitchen are listed down the left-hand column of this site.  But as they say, "seeing is believing".

A view back into the kitchen from the entry.

Let's check out the "private quarters" on the main floor.

With no children in the home we've converted two of the four bedrooms to alernate uses.  Here we come upon the den/office.

Immediately adjacent to the den and across from the master bedroom is the "hallway-shared bath".  Remodeled completely in 2006, this bathroom comes complete with tiled shower, ceramic floors and expanded built in cabinetry.  You might have to fight over who claims this bathroom for their own.

Yes - that is granite.

At the end of the hall you'll find another bedroom - currently used as an exercise room, but easily accommodating another member of the family.

The master bedroom.  Light, airy and with a view of "your" creek.

The master bath.  Renovations/upgrades to this room have just been completed.

We've descended the stairs (just off the entry) to the lower level and find ourselves in the expansive family room - complete with fireplace and gas logs.

Yes - this family room is huge.  Here's a view of the other half.

The house has 3 full baths - all updated.  This one on the lower level helps to complete the "guest suite feel" afforded by the 4th bedroom which follows immediately.

The lower level bath and bedroom provide the privacy for your guests or that special family member.

If you weren't convinced about the size of the family room, this picture should help you get a real feel for it.

The basement runs the length of the house - adjacent to the family room and downstairs suite.  Storage, workshop, craft area - it's all here.

Back in the family room now.  What lies beyond those wonderful french doors?

The living space stretches beyond the four walls of the house.  On the screened porch you can enjoy those spring, summer and fall days - overlooking the beautiful Conodoguinet Creek.

There is no lack of outdoor living space.  The patio just off the screend porch expands the area available for outdoor entertaining and enjoyment.  Combined, the patio, screened porch and front courtyard add over 850 sq ft of hard-surfaced outdoor space - and that doesn't even take into account the lawn and tastefully landscaped yard.

Morning sun, afternoon shade - you'll find the private backyard to be one of your favorite spots.

Just another "boring" view from the backyard.  It's easy to "lose yourself" as you take in Mother Nature's wonders.

If you can ever tear yourself away from looking at the creek, you'll find the view of the house from the creek bank to be very attractive.

Here you'll find just one of three sets of steps that help you navigate the various levels of the property.  Special attention has been given to the landscaping - enhancing the appeal of this setting.

You'll never know what might greet you when you turn your attention to the creek.  Just this June we watched this bald eagle fish and eat its catch just across the creek.  Other visitors include deer, mink, osprey, herons, egrets and an everchanging assortment of waterfowl that migrate through the area in the spring and the fall.

Kayak/canoe/tube from the backyard.  Fish for smallmouth bass right out back.  If you enjoy creek life it doesn't get any better than this.

Well - thanks for stopping by.  If you're interested in learning more about this property, the neighborhood or the area in general, please contact me at: (717) 579-1613 or via e-mail at guybrunt@comcast.net.

parties who have been pre-approved for financing equal to or greater than the
asking price of $325,000.

Just in case I neglected to mention - the scenery you'll experience at this house will never fail to delight you.

Thanks for your interest.  Have a great day!
